Full frame Nikon, D7000 or 5d mkII?

I have a dilemma. I would love to buy a 5D mkII but I have a whole range of Nikon lenses and bodies.

I have been waiting, no hanging for the 'D800' but it just hasn't happened yet and the problem with the D7000 is that it isn't full frame which means all the focal lengths of my lenses need to be multiplied by 1.5. That's not even mentioning the smaller sensor size.

What is Nikon doing? Surely I am not the only photographer/cameraman with this problem. Does anyone know anything about a full frame Nikon with 1920 video coming out soon?

I'm with you, Miguel, I've been waiting for the "D800" for a long time. I almost bought a D700 (at one point, I had someone say 'I'll take it!' to two different retailers in Hong Kong but they were both out of stock) but I just can't bring myself to when I know the camera came out in July 2008. I'm hoping that it will be refreshed in the first quarter of 2011.

The D7000 is looking slightly tempting but, while it's an awesome camera, I don't think DX is going to cut it for me anymore.

The video mode will be a plus as well. I'm going to be producing about six videos, one a day, of a youth event soon and I need a file based video camera to speed up my workflow. I'm thinking of picking up a Canon 550D / T2i and selling it to a friend at Christmas. Would have been nice to use my own "D800" with 1080/25p and existing Nikon glass.

I already have the D700 and I love it. I have no complaints but I need a second fx body and I would really like video to complement as well. I guess I am going to have to be patient. It just seems very annoying that Nikon is lagging so far behind at the moment.

My boss at work also wants me to upgrade our stills camera and has asked for video capabilities so I am probably going to have to go to the 5D mkII even though we have a couple of nikon lenses.

I use a MKII and had a D90 before that. The Nikons have a bit more dynamic range and more film-like high ISO grain/noise and better colours. I've been looking closely at the D7000 but it doesn't appear to be any better than the 5D and I don't want to give up the extra width of glass on FF. I'm hanging for the D800, rumour has it it will be coming around March/April 2011 about the same time the 5D MKIII comes out. I expect both cameras to have much improved video specs.
