Full Frame EVF / LCD?

I was just looking at some footage... and saw something I did not intend to include in my frame. I do recall I was careful to frame it out before I started the recording... So it made me wonder if the LCD and or the EVF shows full frame to what is actually being recorded or was that a senior moment on my part?

Do a test with a framing chart.

Not sure why that would be so in a digital age acquisition and digital broadcast age!

Pixels x Pixels are now absolute and broadcast as such. We dont have to deal with "Broadcast and Safe action" areas any more.
