I wonder if they could improve the battery life at all in the X-T3 with a firmware update? BM did so with the Pocket 4K...
I would consider Fuji if they continued down the video path with a professional slant in mind like the Gh series. The commitment to 10bit and XLR adapter cemented the GH5 series as a great choice for video. They got me to buy a GH5. I would have preferred a GH5s but need IBIS. The Fuji XT-3 has some momentum but can they convert me if a strong GH6 comes out which is better in light gathering/noise? I need an XLR 24bit audio option that is in-camera. So they will not get people like me without this attachment. Unlimited record time is important as well. I think they will have plenty of good looking images and other reasons to switch. But, will they go that extra bit out of their still camera comfort zone?

I think you have 2 different philosophies with both companies, which explains it.
Panasonic with the GH series is a video-centric camera, and everything else (including taking stills) take a backseat to that priority.
Fuji with the X series cameras is a stills-centric camera line, and everything else (including video) take a backseat to that priority.
Doesn't change the fact that the video coming out of the camera is stunning, but I would not expect an XLR module coming from Fuji.
DLD thinks too highly of himself, I say.P.S. There used to be a a great member here named 'DLD' - a fantastic contributor - ...
Annoying other people in other places, I reckon.Duuuuudeee
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! ...
Annoying other people in other places, I reckon.
I lurk here now and again.
And the photo-video camera industry is likely to collapse onto itself. The years of the $50,000 medium format cameras appear to be over, as Panny S1R ability to get 187 MPX largely makes a need for those superfluous while the multi-camera/multi-sensor smartphones with a pixel-shift technology will make a jump in performance to come "close enough" to the DSLR/DSLM consumer market. In other words, the meat of the market is being squeezed from both ends, high and low.

These kinds of posts aren't very popular around here. Keep it up! haha. Yeah (good) computational cameras will be cool...
It's DLD 2.0!PS. Am I on the wrong site? How's everybody?
How about this (off topic but nonetheless)
Yesterday, NVIDIA announced a server based on its GPU cards. Here, I assume, you know way more than I do. (as on most topics). At some point, a 100% CGI based film will become less expensive to make than a live action project. And, a few years down the road, it will be like a radio show converted into moving pictures. In real time.
And cameras, XT-3 included, will turn into an inexpensive paperweight.
No additional license required.It's DLD 2.0 ...
Even if/when computational photorealistic cinema becomes possible (for some shots it already is), there's been a bit of a shift back to practicals, and I think humans enjoy making movies the old fashioned way, in the same way humans enjoy making humans. Virtual/artificial will never be as good as the real thing...
Fortran??? I used to code in binary. I mean, PL1. High school days.Back in the day we had to code uphill both ways in the snow using pedal cranked generators to power our computers and we had to write everything in Fortran!
