Fuji X-T3 released

I like Canon's menus the best (besides Blackmagic in cinema cameras). I enjoy the ergonomics of both companies and how the buttons press and feel. I like Sony's wheel in the back and how you can program L,R,U,D and it feels very nice to spin. I like Panasonic's wheels too. I like all of the switches.

IMO, Fujifilm cameras just don't feel right in your hands. Buttons are stiff and rigid and don't get the mental feedback I'd like when pressing them. Menus are unnecessarily cluttered (borderline Sony too) just like Nikon's menus.

Not sure if you ever used a Canon DSLR if you genuinely find that fascinating (lol), but do try one if you have the opportunity. Specs stink in most of them, but feel is unmatched. There's a reason why they are preferred worldwide.

Not that YOU should prefer them too, but it's not that fascinating.

P.S. Seems like as good a time as any to share...

I figured out a way to track the DVXuser voting system through features available to us on the forum.

Now I can't tell if votes are up or down, but I can see who votes a lot as every time you do your "current activity" on your profile says this (screenshot):

DVXuser.jpg

The above was recorded 1.7 seconds after I voted someone's post helpful.

On a larger scale, what I needed to do is pull up multiple pages of this section - http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/online.php - and continuously every few seconds refresh them and record the results of what DVXuser was providing about users' current activity.

The ones that I personally suspected of down-voting had their profiles examined separately to make sure results matched.

Any randomness from mis-clicks or you really found something unhelpful (that's fine) or maybe you were just having a bad day; it doesn't matter. (Most of us have fallen into at least one category here and there.)

I wanted to see who continuously votes.

As mentioned, I have no evidence of any member voting 'yes' or 'no' to the helpless of a post; just that they are using the system. And I've done the research for months just in case the feature was disabled after sharing my discovery (which could already be common knowledge, but I didn't know about this).

All public information is provided by DVXuser and used for educational purposes, and I'm not planning on publishing anything because there is no point...but LMAO...some of you would really love this.

Some would be surprised.

In the olden days, I bet it was nothing that couldn't be settled by a little водка...just like in my motherland next door.

We may disagree sometimes, haha, but I share the same thoughts about the camera.

I was head-over-heels for it when it was announced, and it ended up not working for me in almost every way I tried with all of the features I was looking forward to. (I actually went back and edited some of my posts.)

On paper it looked great, but it didn't matter when other things about it were making my time using it (and after = H.265) completely miserable.

I know AF is not important to everyone but for me the X-T3 almost ruined a job (with a good AF lens) after its 3.00 update. Just was completely unpredictable and not sure what went wrong (I had pretty great AF results with the X-T30 the weeks before).

With vodka, it's more like.

- Did you down-vote my post?

- Me? You're being paranoid.

- I had you tracked.

- You mean you spied on me?

- You left me no choice with your down votes.

- Son of a #$%^&*(

Followed by a sound of a chair being broken over someone head.

- I down-vote the chair.

lol...I was actually setting you up for one of your stories.

I think I told this one before. One a given sports forum, as soon I got to a sizeable nipple/square count, they'd change the system. So, I'd post for a couple of years, get to like 10 squares, then it'd go back down to zero. After I had quit posting several years ago, they haven't changed once.

How was this not down voted already ;) this one was ripe for it. Lol

I didn’t know much or even care about voting till Norbro mentioned it.

I did a test to see if up voting or down voting did anything for users, and i don’t see much direct corelation to my voting.

But now i use it as a like button.

hahah, didn't take long. There's 1 now.

I think - pretty much 99% sure - it's the same dude that likes OR dislikes TONS of posts weekly.

And your voting does affect the numbers. Everyone's does. As they say, your vote counts...or matters!

[Ironically, no politics on DVXuser but a voting system is good-to-go.]

The same dude? That was me!

What i meant was, the several down and up votes i did over time had no effect on the users. Seems like it would take a lot of votes to change anything, and no one has time for that. So, don’t worry about it. Just post. It is a community. Don’t gamify it.

lol! Several...

In short - if I'm not being clear - everyone's votes are always affecting people's boxes.

A few votes from you might not seem like a lot, but that person could need just a few more to get their next box, or now that many more after you (anyone) took some away from him or her.

Of course none of it really matters, but if this system exists here then I'm naturally curious to learn about it.

What i am saying is it shouldn’t matter. Your words and contributions are what is important. Stars or scores are a game or a badge.
