Hey guys, Just wondered if anyone on here has had a similar situation. I was on a shoot today and the SDHC slot on my FS700 seems to have lost its spring, you know how it clicks into place when you insert the SDHC card to let you know its in fully. Initially the camera couldn't read the card I put in but I pushed it in firmly (Still didn't lock in place like it should) and it read it thankfully. I just got back from the shoot but I have several shoots lined up over the next week and am now worried this might cause a problem if it decides to break permanently. Is this a common problem or has anyone else had this?
One of the real pains is that even if the SDHC port doesn't work, I thought I would be able to record to my Odyssey 7q but it seems like you need the FS700 to have a SDHC card in to do that. Is there a way I can record on the Odyssey without needing an SDHC card in the camera. This would solve the problem if the SDHC card did fail on me. I'll send the camera back to Sony at Christmas to get a proper fix but until then I hope it will continue to work.
Thanks in advance for anyones help!
