FS700, DJI Ronin and Odyssey 7Q

Hi guys. I got a question: i use to have in all my supports (tripods, sliders, crane, etc) a quick release plate; a Manfrotto one, to easily move my FS700 and don´t have to, unscrew it and attach to a differents plates. Can i put in the Ronin this Manfrotto base plate or this will mean a huge problem with the balance.
This is the plate: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/554151-REG/Manfrotto_357_357_Pro_Quick_Release.html
Thanks for your advices.
Regards!

Hi, I was just wondering the same. Shouldn't you be able to mount Ronin plate directly to the Manfrotto 357 adapter body?
P.S. I'm waiting for Ronin-M, does anyone know if it has the same plate?

Hi. How you get rid of the pan axis balance problem? I got the DJI extension arms and the pan axis is really a problem. Thanks so much.

I am using the Cinemilled extentions with the FS700, wireless follow focus unit, Nikkor AIS lenses and SDI to Odyssey.

It it works great!--besides being heavy as heck. Although when I mount this full system for prolonged use, I support it with steadicam arm/vest. It's a beautiful set up and very manageable.

I also use a Manfrotto quick release plate (not dovetail) so that I can move the camera back and fourth from tripod to gimbal to hand held without having to rebalance the camera every time I want to put it back on the ronin. So the ronin plate and rods w/ the follow focus stay on the gimbal...which is great! I also find that it can balance just fine since the plate is so low profile.

I I do take the top handle off of the FS700 when doing this, though. I will usually have a wireless audio receiver mounted on the top cold shoe instead of the handle. This gives me a super capable rig: stabilized, smart focus, 4k RAW, with audio, and easily removable!
