FS700, a7S, and a6000.

Freiheit, how do you like the A6000? Seems like People find it's video pretty damn good. For the price.
Want to get the A7S as b-cam to the FS700 but not sure I can swing it economically at the moment.

i personally loved A6000!! it's ultra compact camera has amazing video function, HDMI clean out with nearly zero moire. and that auto focus, man it's super fast and precise! we can even change the auto focusing speed too!

i just upload group of TIFF file from each camera and you can download for checking their resolution and color.

Sounds intriguing. Have you tried using it as a b-cam for a FS700, do they cut well together?
will check the TIFFs when on my computer. Usually read the forum on my iPad. Thanks for posting!

seems like base ISO for S-Log2 is now set 3200, not like the a7S I've tested as base ISO 1600...

I have no idea why they set twice high number as base for S-Log2 but I will go check the store right now and see what's up with it.

alright, about base ISO thing.

i've just checked a7S at the store (already available and cost around under $2K for body) and confirmed that base ISO is now set twice high, 3200. not like the one I've tested the other day. it was set 1600, same as Den lennie and the other people did test with.

i've personally wanted base ISO even lower than 1600 for S-Log2, a7S has enough good sensor could go like 1250...that was my first impression so this is kinda sad decision they made :(

however hope Sony has nice reason for this change so I will ask them next meeting! :)

Has anyone got an a7s and a 7q yet? Wanted to see if you can get 50/60p full sensor readout into the 7q via a hdmi sdi converter... I think what I am reading is that 50/60 may have moire and aliasing issues but 24p does not? Is the hdmi external output selectable or still fixed at 1080p/I 50/60 like the a7?

as far as I can tell still doesn't work over 30p with the a7, wondering if the experience will be the same with the a7s until some hdmi 2 or other solution is announced for 7q.
