FS5: FS5 generic battery

Easy there, tiger. Sorry to hear that. I'm not sure I "recommended" it. Just reported that it worked on my FS7 (it still does and I'm still very happy with it) and that I'm hoping it continues to do so.

You could just return them. That's the joy of trying and buying through Amazon.

F**k indeed.

Bought one of these [Amazon] and worked fine on my FS5. Shows battery level etc. But I've only used it once, 90% of which is Super SlowMo with end-trigger (i.e. camera constantly refilling the buffer). And I ran it in that mode for at least 3 hours... the only thing I am not sure is how the battery reacts when fully drained; I've had aftermarket batteries just suddenly power off because the voltage drops too fast towards the end, and I've lost footage in the past. Unfortunately with my FS5 most likely defective I returned the camera. Hope that helps!

I've found my ultra cheap (cheapest I could find on ebay) BP-U90 worked fine in an FS7 when I did a quick test with it. (though I usually use it in an F3)

Bought one of these last week:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BUK4064?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

I ran a test on it last night and it recorded 3 hrs, 32 mins - showing full battery info etc.

Charged very quickly today on the standard FS7 charger station.

Paid peanuts - am secretly hoping it turns out to be a superlatively talented monkey...

Just revisiting this. I've been testing this battery and have done a charge and discharge cycle 7 times, leaving the camera recording in 1080P XAVCL with IS enabled on an 18-105.

Each time, the battery lasts within a minute of 3 hours 35 minutes. The recording stops, closes the file and the battery expires gracefully a minute later.

I'm not recommending it, but I have ordered 3 more.

4 of these still come to less than one Sony BPU60. I'll run the same tests on the new ones.

Might be good to contact Taky (which is also a fellow forumer here) at LACOLORPROS.com and ask him about the shipping cost to your door.
They have all sort of batteries and from all the ones I bought from him, I never had a single issues (being for my Canon HV40, XF100 and even the generic ones for my T2i).
See here.

This is not OK on my FS5,reset the clok
