Up for sale here is a Zeiss ZF (Nikon AI-s Bayonet) 50mm f/1.4 Planar lens.

The lens is around a year old, and is in "as-new" condition. There are no scratches, scrapes, dents, fungus, or any other flaws to either the barrel of the lens, or the elements themselves. It comes complete with the original lens cap (pictured) & lens hood (also flawless), original box, test certificate (pictured), and other documents.

Photos taken by me with a Canon 5D Mark II.

My reason for selling is because I mostly work with Canon EF lenses now, and therefore no longer have a need for my F-Mount collection. I am also selling my Zeiss 28mm here, and will be selling my 85mm soon.

I'm asking £450, OBO.

Buyer pays S&H and Paypal fees.

how does that lens work with the mkii
any focus issues such as going past infinity?
I was seriously considering the 50mm ZE series for the canon
that is an awesome photo of the lens
what lens did you use for the photo if you don't mind me asking?

I personally haven't used this lens with my 5D, but I've heard other people have had great success with this combination.

Thanks. :) I'm pretty sure I used my Canon 24-70mm for these shots... It was either that or the "fiddy".

Ah I see, that photo doesn't look like it came from the 24-70 so I'm gonna guess it was the fiddy
I think it was that + the great lighting and backdrop

Sorry to nay say, but two of these sold on eBay UK for only £300 each in the past week.
Both were mint condition...

You're most probably right. I'm very bad at remembering what lenses I use. Compliment much appreciated, anyway. :)

My initial asking price is £450, but I will sell to whomever gives me the best offer.

We have a longstanding rule which says: if you aren't buying the guy's product, stay out of his thread.

I don't know if it's an "unwritten" rule or not, but there have been many cases where we've had to ask people who have no intention of buying to please butt out.

Sorry, but you can't expect people to conform to a rule that is not written anywhere.

That amounts to the protocol of a country club, with a set of social codes that only the "senior" members seem to have some knowledge of. This link should never have been flagged for having done an "absolute no-no" which in my view is a pretty condescending phrase in itself.
If you have any other "codes" of this nature, please be explicit and make it a sticky.

Enough said, now I too will "butt out".

Nor can you legislate courtesy or common sense. But even so, most people (here) understand that this is a community and conduct themselves accordingly.

There are a lot of good reasons to have policy, unwritten or otherwise . . . It, at least, keeps most of those who are less than "pure of heart" from mucking with an honest persons attempt to make a fair offering here (where there are no fees, etc.).

I was simply trying to pass information to someone less informed, which is why I went out of my way to phrase it as kindly I did. It's possible that was overlooked (or that despite my best effort I was misunderstood anyway). If I've inadvertently hurt anyones feelings let me apologize (and invite that further comment be directed to my e-mail: dregenthal@comcast.net).

peace.
