We're selling our modded NTSC HVX200.

This is a fully functional (sans int. mics) HVX200 camcorder, which has the internal microphones ripped out, and replaced with input for external microphones.
The reason for this is that the built-in mics are pretty crappy anyway, and they're not really good quality. So we attached an external connection box with 4 Hirose connections (the HVX200 has 4 internal mics), which allows for 4 external mics to feed the internal mic circuitry. It can also allow two mics of course with correct cables.
The normal channel 1 + 2 external mic inputs are unchanged, so with this HVX200 you can record 4 channels audio with 4 external mics at the same time (to P2 cards).
Internal mics aren't connected anymore, and are non-functional.

No, price originally was $4440.

kdawg, yes, I've had a few enquiries.

The 4 channel recording with 4 (or 6) external mics is what's so unique here. Oh, and the included VIDLED! :)

I thank people might be a little spooked buying a used hvx with a void warranty and mods they are unsure of, perhaps if you posted a QT file with audio from your mod you might sell it easier. 4200 is a lot of money. but I must say your mod looks sweet, and even though I'm not in the market to spend 4200 I'd personaly like to hear/see an example of how it sounds and looks.

Yeah, Jason, what Matt said. There's plenty info about what this mod can do in the other thread. I'd EXPECT anyone wanting to spend this much money to do their research.
Also, price is not $4200, it's $3994.00.

By the way, the Barry Green HVX book by itself is $3894.00 (well worth it), and I'll throw the HVX + accessories in for an extra $100.00. :)
