FS: Azden SGM-1X Microphone w/shockmount & Bag

Thanks for throwing that in Brandon. I've been looking to upgrade my shotgun, but, I don't have major experience or cash. I'm hoping that either this or the SGM2 will hold me over for a bit.

If you don't have any major experience, of course you don't want to spend too much. Especially when you are short on cash, it's wise to go for something that is decent and will get the job done. The Azden will get you by for most. When you feel that your equipments are holding you back because you can't achieve what you want and need, then it's time to upgrade. You will know what you need when you have more experience.

A good experienced person with an average microphone will far surpass a non-experienced person with a high-end mic. :)

Allen, what I meant was I don't have experience with many different mics. I started out with an Azden 2ch wireless lav, atr55, and a GL1. It all worked cheaply and reliably, and got better sound than the onboard mic.

It's been a few years now, and I have just moved up to an HD100, and all that 1/8 stereo stuff has pretty well outlived it's usefulness. At this point, I don't know the difference between a me66 or a sgm2, except that is supposed to have qualities that almost rival the more expensive mic. If I had an extra $400, I might just get a used sen. As it is, I could do maybe half that for now, which would help get a gig or two to work on new wireless lavs, slick, tripod head... always more kit than cash :)

And I'm sorry if I hijacked this sales post.

Dude, I use that one too. It's sweet. Everyone told me only Sony mics were good and I'm like that's impossible because other microphones exist so someone must be buying them. The only time I had a problem with this one was when we damaged the cord. That was our fault and once we bought a new cord the mic worked flawlessly again. Get a good shotgun pole for this mic and you'll be so money. The on board mic is good but it can't do what this mic can.

I accept paypal, but only from paypal confirmed accounts (i.e. confirmed shipping addresses)

Glad to hear everyone else has had as positive experiences with the microphone as me :)

Thanks -
