Keep in mind that Jan is the rep for Panasonic USA, and has no jurisdiction over any other country. Perhaps your rep in India could help you out?

Well, i did contact the dealer and he said that since most people anyway bought it in the grey market here in India, its too tough for him to offer me anything extra on the price he was giving it to me :'( i am happy though that i am buying a camera with a warranty. I suppose thats some consolation. Thank you. I am SO glad i found this forum. I ve got lots of answers from here! :)

It's Aug 26th and no Bullitt from EVS yet. Bought my camera in July from EVS because of recommendations by this list. Order entry number is 27752.

You bought your camera from Ramzi.  I informed him that you have not received your software yet, and he said that it went out Tuesday the 24th, immediately after your conversation with Ryan. ;)  It takes a couple days to get there...

Anyone buy from Promax and get their software?

I bought mid-July and Promax still has no info. Should I call Panasonic instead?

You should call Promax.  If they had inventory at the beginning of July, then Panasonic sent them software to cover.  Email off list what they say.

"Sharing the gift" would amount to software piracy... I don't think there will be many takers on that.

Best would be to ask your European Panasonic product representative if they would consider working a similar deal for their European territories.

Are you sure the included MB software with the DVX is compatible with Avid Xpress Pro...according to MB's website, it's not supposed to be released til Sept 30th.

From what I understand it is compatible, I think however there will be a downloadable upgrade in Sept for the Express Pro.

Thanks for the quick response Jan...you are correct...The Windows version in the DVX boxes are compatible with Avid Xpress Pro...not Mac compatible...they are not advertising full support because of the Mac issue...However, you do not receive the Misfire portion of the package...that will be available for free download at the end of the month...FYI...thanks again.
