Well Jarred,

That is what I am hoping. That customers find themselves in a situation that lets them have a nice little piece of software, and the reassurance of knowing that the manufacturer's warranty is in place. It was all about timing, and the fact that I found the Magic Bullet for Editors was just the perfect differntiation for the US market.

This has been one of my most frustrating areas since this product was added to my product line, explaining to people why I am not in a position to help them as they think I should, because they have a gray market camera. I am working on a document for you to post, but I feel that I should have my legal department look it over just in case.

Please do, as we would love to have something definitive to post.

I also think you would do your customers a favor if you'd publish a list of authorized (or not-authorized) dealers. Yes you have the lookup function, but a) it only shows three per zipcode, and there may be more, and b) some of the "scam shops" make it very difficult to find their zipcode.

It would be great to be able to publish a list that says something like:
As of 8/1/04, the following are AUTHORIZED PANASONIC DEALERS:
B&H
EVS
PROMAX
WILLOUGHBYS

etc...

As of 8/1/04, the following are NOT AUHTORIZED DEALERS:
Profeel
Buydig
A&M Photo World
Broadway Photo
Digital Liquidators
5 Stars Electronics

etc...

Excellent start. I will try to see what I can do but it is a politcal issue and I may not be able to do the list thing. Maybe we build one by people asking who is and who isn't, and we can build the list that way as an interim.

I have been waiting for over a month for the software to make its way to me.
I called and spoke to customer service again, who said I qualifiy for it. In fact Custome rService was so good I placed an order for the tele-adapter and ultra fish-eye lenes from Century Optics.
Well the lenses came -but again no software. Adding to my dilema is the shipping address they have is good for only a limited time before I move on to new house. Does anyone know who at B&H could clear this up so I don't just get whoever picks up the phone... TIA!

B&H notified me today (Sunday) that Magic Bullet is shipping to me. So I assume you will get a similar notification soon.

I just got mine from EVS today 8/16/04. The only problem I see with it is that it's set up for Vegas 5, which is only  a problem if you use Vegas and haven't upgraded yet like me, I still use 4. I installed it anyway, but had some failure after install completed and I can't find anything on it within Vegas or through it's own interface. Does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong, or do I need to upgrade Vegas in order to use it.

My apologies if the answer has already been given elsewhere.

I, too, got mine from EVS on Monday. Works great with Vegas 5. I'm gonna have fun with this.

My bonus Magic Bullet CD showed up last week... [I do not think V4 is supported.]
Vegas 5 is well worth the upgrade!
Magic Bullet Misfire Suite does not function inside Vegas version, but Vegas 5 comes with powerful film damage tools like scratches, flicker, jitter, etc. The Magic Bullet Look Suite is just plain awsome! I plan to do some side-by-side comparison shots soon.

I know the MB promo is for NEW cameras. I have 3 DVX's & love the bullet look suite demo. Is there any way to get a discount on the software thru this site for someone with $11,000 in our little babies?

Just a wild desire, but money is money thses days !!

That's what I was afraid of. Looks like I'll need to go out and get 5 now.

Hello everyone, i am new here. I ma planning on buying the DVX 102 AE in India. Would the magic bullet offer apply to it ? I am buying it from the authrosiezed dealer and it certainly is more expensive than the grey market. It would be nice if i got that deal here. Any chance of that Jan?

awwww thats really sad :( wish there was some way we straight ones got rewarded for going to the authorised dealer....
Well that doesnt change anything Jan, I ll still go to the dealer. So just a bit of moaning on my part! :)
