The version we are adding to the DVX100A is compatible with FCP, Adobe Premiere, Avid Express Pro, and Sony Vegas.

See your Panasonic person to get your facility covered on the needed extras to cover your inventory.

So does that mean that you guys are going to ship us one software piece for every camera we sold in July, or you shipped to us in July? I mean, if we had June stock we sold in July, does that count?

Jan, It is nice to see that you take care of your customers. I bought my DVX100a in June, oh well. Bought it from J&R which is an authorized dealer. I first attempted to purchase a "great deal" DVX from another web site only to find out it was a scam. I highly recommend paying the price and going thru authorized only dealers. The service if needed is worth it.

Purchased mine 6/28 from B&H. Talked to Panasonic and B&H today and they said they will honor the offer. I can't wait.
BTW I use Vegas 5...

That's great news, since mine shipped today to arrive tomorrow. I doubt it has the software in it, but I should get it soon according to this thread.

BTW, I looked everywhere for a "good deal" and finally broke down and ordered from Rush. He was very helpful. Now this MB deal proves that I made the right decision.

Anytime sir! I have just heard that the software boxes should be here at the first week of August. I haven't heard back from Jan to see if the cameras we bought in June but sold in July are eligible yet... I will post when I know.... :)

Hmm, I rock? That's cool, I have to tell my boss. ;-)

What you guys need to do is find the PO # that your inventory was shipped to you against, make a head count of those that you have shipped to customers in July and add that to the number remaining in stock; then contact your Panasonic rep. Send him/her the PO number with the quantity and we will ship the MBs to match. This is meant to be a win win for Authorized resellers.

By differentiating the Authorized product for the US with the MB software, it should make it much easier for customers to recognize whether they are working with a legit vendor and will be getting a product that actually has a US Warranty.

When you say "US Warranty", be aware of the way the scumbucket resellers are twisting your words. They'll say that their cameras come with a "US Warranty", but it's a bogus "in-store" warranty that won't cover any sort of manufacturer repairs! It's a lame piece of paper they write up themselves! They get away with calling it a "US Warranty" because... hey, they're located in the US, right? You want to ask for THE MANUFACTURER'S US WARRANTY!

There is a review on Magic Bullet for Editors on 2-pop.com. Created by The Orphanage in SF, it is pretty powerful stuff. The inspiration that took me down this path was the reaction I was getting to the looks we were able to create in camera with the SDX and people wanting to do the same thing with the DVX. It was a marriage that was waiting to happen.

I'd like to second the whole "Jan rocks" thing. I emailed her on a Sunday afternoon about not receiving Magic Bullet with my DVX. She got back to me just a few hours later. I was duly impressed.

More than Likely I'll be buying a 100a in the next week or so, seeing how everyone recommends Rush, I'll be contacting him very shortly? Should I wait until this whole thing is sorted out a few weeks, or just get it within the week and hope I can get my hands on Magic Bullet?

Well, fun software anyhow... Heh heh. The software packages will be in our Glendale office on Monday 8/2/04. Please don't worry about emailing or calling for the software. Every DVX purchase in July is on a list, and will receive a software piece. We got one for one, one camera sold = one software piece. We will begin to mail them out to everyone on Tuesday 8/3/04.
