Free/fast/automated 24p PC workflow

I haven't tried the Huffyuv one very much other than to verify that it compressed and played back. I don't recall having any issues with playback for that one though. TYpically I've been using the Lagarith codec with great success. Have you tried Lagarith as well or just the Huffyuv?

I have tried the lagarith, but it seemed to playback even slower than the huffy 7-8fps. can I change settings on the compression somewhere? or maybe there are some pre built templates for the different compresion schemes.

Thanks for the help by the way, this automated removal is sweet.

You can create your own templates if needed. Take a look at my website, at the bottom. It will describe what you need to do to get the VDub script out.

You can open VDub and go under Video->Compression. Pick the codec of your choice. Each has some additional options you can set using the "Configure" button. After picking the options, do a File->Save As, but tell it to save it as a job instead. Then you can go under File->Job Control and then export the job to disk. Just stuff the appropriate part into a new compressor in the workflow application.

Hi! I wonder if anyone has managed to adapt this automated workflow with the Blackmagic MJPEG codec ? So instead of HDV -> 24P Inverse Telecine -> MJPEG

the new workflow would be
MJPEG -> 24P Inverse Telecine -> MJPEG

Haven't been able to figure this out.. Thanks!

Works great for me, hwoever one quick question. The outputted file is 1440x1080 and the video is squeezed. So, Im assuming I just set my editing software to 1920x1080 and let the editing software take care of it or did I do something wrong?

EDIT: Nvm, completely forgot about the whole anamorphic 16x9 stuff.
