Free Camera Porn

That's what I'm talking about... I'm dismayed by how rare SmallHD stuff is in the L.A. rental market. Always wanted to try 'em out. As long as you work out the OSD bells&whistles, why would you ever want to monitor on an SD monitor? (Nearly all other onboard LCDs in the market are 854x480.)

Vocas shoulder rig and low profile mattebox, Zacuto baseplate and rails, Cineroid (waiting for magic arm delivery to get it low and on the rails). Overall, very do-able handheld. I have an offset to put the shoulder pad to the right to get my eye in the camera's own EVF for now. IMG_1471.jpg

Here is our High end "Gentlemen's Club" style Camera. not any of that quick and dirty internet stuff. :) i had one of my students class it up a bit 2 Camera22.jpgderek close.jpg

Shot a spot today that was handheld all day, this guy got very heavy by the end of the day!

Very nice. Don't you wish Cineroid would get that SDI VF out already!
You should get one of these for your kit, for the long held days. I have one and it really can help and take some of that weight. http://www.dvtec.tv/id2.html
How you liking the O'Connor matte box? Does it have vertical adjustment for box, on the 15mm rails?

Chong, looks nice. Was it still a bit front heavy? If you had a longer Israeli arm on the LCD could have moved the shoulder pad 6" or so farther forward?

Thanks for that tip, I will look into it.
The lens and mattebox belongs to my friend, no vertical adjustment, I had to do all the adjustment on my zacuto baseplate.

The balance was all most perfect, the Oconnor mattebox is a little heavy.
The mantis has about 10" of fore and aft adjustment, great for handheld.

Not the best picture, but it's a pretty bad-ass rig. Ridiculous, actually. This was about a year ago, and I don't think I've beasted out that hard on one camera package since.

I think it's an O'connor 2075 Fluid Head and a Cartoni Tango, with a RedOne MX, Angeniuex Optimo 24-290mm T/2.8 zoom, EVF, 7" monitor, swing away 6x6 mattebox, arri-FF, three channel preston for remote FIZ work, including a rock and roll micro force handle for zoom, and a bunch of other accessories. Now that I think of it, the manual Follow Focus is on there just for show! lol.

EDIT: DOH! I see this is in the F3 forum... which I missed since I came to this thread through the 'what's new' tab function.

I guess this thread is for brunettes and I just posted a redhead. lol.
