There's always going to be people that you'll offend - no matter what film you make. That said, it's hard to take anyone seriously in this forum after reading through everything until now. If you take this film for more than the grain of salt it was shot with, there's more at stake with own personal problems with the world. If you're offended, shut your mouth and go use your DVX-100 to make a film that shows your side of the argument. Do not, for any reason, complain what someone else decided to make a film about. It's DONE and edited - there's no stopping it now. Whether or not you agree with it, if people don't like it they're smart enough to make up their own minds about it and move on with life.

You obviously didn't read my posts very closely. I never said I was offended. In fact I reiterated that point a number of times. Perhaps you were too busy formulating your witty rebuttal to actually read what you were commenting on. I merely pointed out that the filmmaker seemed unwilling or ill-prepared to deal with those that might be.


And I think it's ridiculous that you would tell people not to comment on a film that was posted. Was it posted for some other reason? Or did you also miss the "Comments are welcomed" part of the initial post?

Are you saying that all movie review websites, news colums, webblogs, history of film classes, radio and tv review shows, or any other outlet that comments on films and their subject matter are irrelevent and should simply not exist.

Have you never sat around with your buddies at the local 2-4-1 pizza joint after watching a flick and commented on the film you just watched.

I am the very least film snob I know. My son and I have watched "Men In Black" a gazzilion times. But I still occasionally comment both positively or negatively on films that I see.

Are you saying that we are not allowed to comment on films, but instead go out and make our own, does this include non-filmmakers. Should I tell my father that he should shut his cake-hole when he tells me he thought the recent "Fat Albert" was silly.

This is a blast. I'm dying here. Think I'll make a cherry pie, the picking is so easy.

Oh man, I've tried desperately to stay out of this one. This is an extremely personal subject matter you've lampooned. I watched it, had nothing positive to say so I said nothing. You can't argue opinions, no one's right and no one's wrong.

Religion = opinion, politics = opinion, PC or not PC = opinion. That's not what this boards about imo. The moment something gets personal, it gets locked generally, I have no idea how this thread survived this long.

Of course this is going to be offensive to some folks but no one is going to win an argument over POV. Doesn't matter what your intent was, it's eye (and mind) of the beholder.
