About a year or so ago, FFC visited the set of the "Young and the Restless" (a daytime CBS soap) because he was interested in learning more about a soap technique of shooting over 100 script pages a day.

This looks like a very expensive and stressful project with lots of possibilities to screw up a thing or two. That's entertaining!

Just like virtually every Coppola project ever! I wish I could see the actual movie somewhere. Still, watching the little BTS on Vimeo inspired me to watch Hearts of Darkness again.

I see some Blackmagic studio cameras in there...interesting choice.

I think those were with the Oklahoma City Community College from last year. The UCLA version is probably updated - different donors, etc.

In any case, I think there are two parts to this -

a) an ability to do a "live cinema", which is a very artistic concept that could work as a live streaming event.

b) more importantly, using the above concepts, a possibility of shooting a full feature film within a very short time frame - like a day or two - without suffering any loss in acting and visual presentation and saving a boatload of money in the process. A major streamer like Netflix and Amazon ought to be paying a lot of attention to this sort of advancement in, as Coppola himself put it, "industrial film making".
