hello, IN finalcutpro 5.1 have 1280x720 sequence and I have the external video preview on. I have a canopus advc 110 analog/digital converter hooked up through firewire with the computer to a composite monitor. when I play in fcp I see the current frame, but when I hit play the video stays on the begginning frame and updates oncce I pause it. The video works when I scrub. Any suggestions or comments please.

well here are the settings,but it wont play, it shows up as the first frame and then updates on the monitor. more like a picture update it doesn;t play video

final cut 6 will do a software downconvert of hd to to sd for preview on a client monitor with you current setup i believe.
