Frame Rate Problems!!! Help !!!

trying to fool around with frame rate in 720/24p.

i used everything from 12p to 60p and when i import it in thru my fire store into final cut it just plays normal.

why isn`t it sped up or slowed down please help......

You must convert the footage with the Panasonic Frame rate converter plug-in. It is found in the Extras folder on your FCP 5.1 distribution disk. Drag into the Plug Ins folder and restart FCP. Highlight the clip in the browser, go to Tools -> Frame Rate Converter, select the target fps rate and then a destination for the new clip. Import the new clip back into FCP. Note, you will not have audio with VFR clips. That's all there is to it.

You need to put the HVX into 720pN 24p mode. the N is for Native, and when played back it will play it back correctly without any frame rate converter
