Frame Rate Converter missing, not showing up in FCP

Hello friends,

I acquired a intel core dual laptop and installed FCP. I shut down FCP and downloaded the Panasonic frame converter. I installed it. I opened final cut, but it doesn't show up under tools. I restarted the computer, opened FCP, still nothing. I reinstalled the frame converter and still nothing. Any ideas why it is not showing up? It worked on my Imac g5, is this an intel thing?

thanks!

It's on the FCP installation DVD, in the Extras folder. It will then show up in the Tools menu of FCP. No, it's not an Intel thing, it's an FCP thing, CPU doesn't matter.

I did install the frame converter, it just doens't show up on final cut after i install the frame rate converter. Any thoughts?

Are you sure you installed the "Frame Rate Converter.bundle" file into the FCP Plugins folder? Then you go to the Tools menu, should show up like forth option from the bottom of the Tools menu. It will read "DVCPROHD Frame Rate Converter". You installed FCP 5.1, correct?
