For Those Who Have Used The AC or DC Adapters for Canon DSLR's

See Here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/590425-REG/Canon_3352B001_DR_E6_DC_Coupler.html

Does anyone know what kind of DC plug that is on the end opposite the unit that slides into the camera? Is it standard 2.1mm, 2.5mm, or something else, like a proprietary connection?

I cannot find a solid answer on the web.

I am building a power supply for two monitors, 2 A/V signal controllers, and the 7D, which will live on the rig, but I need to know the plug size so I can order the right coupler/adapter to install in my DIY distro box (to power the Canon adapter).

Cheers.

Hey, I have one of those. Canon sells a DC power supply which connects to that piece.

However, any DC power supply with the correct positive negative polarity and 7 to 8 volts power will work.

I rigged up one of my Anton Bauer Hytron battery pack setups (battery and battery plate with voltage converter built in) with an 8volt out DC line into the battery connector. I have run it for hours at a time for the last few weeks with no issues.

If you are strapped for cash, the following is a good alternative, but I make no guarantees of its reliability.....(just read the reviews and make your own assessment)....
