What settings do you use on your XHA1 to get the best results? I've played around with mine and the results are ok, but I'd like to know what settings you guys are using in comparison.

The lens I use is a Nikon f1.8 e series and I'm interested in the shutter speed, aperture settings, etc. that you use.

As a general rule, stopping the SLR lens down between f4 and f8 will yield the best sharpness, of course some adapters won't allow for this since you can see the spinning GG. But shooting wide open is generally a bad idea.

The most important thing to get good result is to invest in an HD external monitor to pull focus with. The onboard just won't cut it.

I am about to buy myself a location oncamera monitor for that reason. Any suggestions anyone, which arn't too pricey?

I have an Ikan HD and it's pretty decent. Not sure if it's something you are looking for, but coupled with the Zacuto extension arm it's pretty handy.
