I keep forgetting that this site exists but I come back to it when I do remember. And every time, the discounts are always awesome.

For students and educators, this is definitely a great site to shop at. Some of the products on sale are hundreds of dollars off the retail price.

I don't see why? User has a decent amount of posts, has been here for a year, and link is film/video-related?

this is about the 3rd spam i've seen on this forum in the last week.. i get enough of it my email.. i hate it and don't like it.. yup..

It reads like spam, but maybe he genuinely had a good experience with them? He's not a spam-bot, because according to his profile he has over 80 posts. Maybe adding something to the original post or adding to the thread will increase the OP's credibility for this site.

yeah, being a student i bought avid from like those sites, i really like them, but i mean most people don't know about it. Thanks for informing!

Yeah sorry. Didn't mean for it to read like spam.
As far as I know, the site doesn't profit from its sales and figured it would be good for students short on cash scavenging the marketplace for cheap stuff. I found out about it from a presentation they had at my school and bought my light meter for cheaper than I would have had to pay otherwise...

If the moderator feels this is inappropriate, it's fine if he deletes the thread.

I think it's totally appropriate and glad you chimed in with how you found out about the site. That's what DVXuser is about anyway...sharing knowledge - it's not always spam when they post a link to a site that sells something.

it's not spam at all. I've used it for my light meter, mfr was 150 or something and I got it for 75. You have to have your professor sign off and provide a transcript or something and student id number. you can literally thousands of dollars with this if you're buying a mamiya or leica bs.
