Man the shi* this little camera has went through and seen and still went strong. I cant believe such a little camera withstood news capture in the ugly weather we where having at the time. Great little unit. From what I hear that little unit is still kicking today. The ENG news environment is harsh and this was always the camera that got grabbed when we had to go somewhere that was more abusive since we didn't want to ruin the expensive cameras.

My god. a DVC30 for news? What market were you in? I'm in Vegas and a DVC30 is like a cardinal sin.

It was small independent in Reading Pa. It was our backup cam. but being the night and weekend guy my camera got repoed most to give to the daytime guys. Needless to say, I got to use it alot.

Being a DVC-30 owner/lover I use this little cam for shooting music videos that are bound for You Tube. Put it on top of a Merlin Steadicam and you've got a match "made in heaven".
