i know this is odd but would you be willing to trade for a vx2000mk2+opteka setup? i mean you want 900 and that should be good for it prob more.
 
I used one of these back when I shot news for a while. My main camera had to go out for service and I had this (not this exact one) camera for a few weeks. Man the shi* this little camera has went through and seen and still went strong. I cant believe such a little camera withstood news capture in the ugly weather we where having at the time. Great little unit. I can tell you that this little camera absolutely got the shi* kicked out of it on a daily basis with what must have been 500-600 hours on the heads when I left the news and it was still going strong. From what I hear that little unit is still kicking today. The ENG news environment is harsh and this was always the camera that got grabbed when we had to go somewhere that was more abusive since we didn't want to ruin the expensive cameras.

Damn, ya know! great little SD cam, I kinda miss it sometimes. For the price you cant go wrong with a little cam like this.

Speaking of taking a beating and still driving on to film another day, I never owned the dvx100 or 200 series but now have the HMC 150's. Can I expect them to be as rugged as the DVC-30 from the news station? I know that that thing was built like a tank, It didn't matter what you did to it, it's almost like it had something to prove. The more you beat on it, it always came back for more lol. Now I don't plan on putting my HMC's though the same **** the news did but would still like to know what people think about its ruggedness. Better/worse than the DVC-30?

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier man, I lost power+internet thursday night and am using the internet in school for the first time since then. I am not looking for trades though, I need cash to pay off some stuff and buy other things, but that would be one hell of an offer.

^and to the poster above this camera sure is bulletproof, I haven't pushed it to any extreme and it should keep kicking for a lot longer.

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier man, I lost power+internet thursday night and am using the internet in school for the first time since then. I am not looking for trades though, I need cash to pay off some stuff and buy other things, but that would be one hell of an offer.

I don't want to put a ding in your efforts but I doubt that going to work on a forum. No-one else has chimed in so I'll say it. I don't think 25 bucks is gonna do a lot for someone. Secondly if your willing to take 25 less today then you'll probably accept the same tomorrow. As seen on TV "discounts for ordering now" don't work quite as well on a forum. As a word of advice, if you are a really motivated seller you'll need to be considerably more aggressive in terms of lowering the price and willing to accept that, for a quick close, you will get less than your probably wanted.

With that I wish you good luck with the sale, this model is a great cam.

Yea I am aware of this haha, I really wanted to sell it tonight but that just isn't going to happen unfortunately :undecided but thanks anyways!
 
Last bump before I throw it up on ebay, really want to sell it to someone I know will take good care of it versus a random stranger on ebay. Buy up!
