For EX3 Owners only!

How far out to the left, in inches, does the ex3 LCD move? I have been trying to get this info for awhile now. Can any of you ecstatic new ex3 owners measure this and reply? I know i could go to abel cine and see for myself, but if someone could take a minute to measure, with the lcd extended out to the left as far as possible, it would save me a trip into NYC.

I would greatly appreciate it..

In your opinion... would the ergonomics be workable for a right shoulder, left-eyed shooter? I am trying to decide whether or not to upgrade from my ex1. Several eye surgeries on my right eye have made it difficult to shoot with my right eye... especially in bright sunlight... and I am trying to figure out whether the ergonomics and superior viewfinder and shoulder mount of the ex3 would be a better solution for someone like me shooting with my left eye with the viewfinder extended 1"?

In my opinion -- it's a little awkward, but doable. Everyone in our store is right eye-dominate, so our opinion might not be the best to go by. I highly recommend that you make that trip to our store to test it out, before deciding on purchasing the EX3. There's also a cheek piece where you can have another point of contact, which comes with the camera.

I am assuming you have a display model that I can get my hands on? Bhphoto does not let you pickup the units... at least when I bought my ex1 they didn't. Since you guys are authoriized sony resellers and sponsor dvxuser... if it works for me I would like to do business with you and support this great website!

We have an EX3 set-up in our store, just don't drop it the camera .

We're open Mon-Fri, 9:30-6:00PM. It's better to come early, when all our engineers are in.

We're also renovating our basement which will be our new showroom.
A Sony XDCAM EX show on september 10th at our premises, I'll post more details once we finalize show details.
