Movie theater experience

[Justin_Kirch]

I went to go see Man of the Year yesterday and they FINALLY integrated using those Christie 2k digital projectors for the WHOLE movie, not those stupid previews at the beginning.

The difference was amazing. I could see everything in focus, not that soft film projector focus, and the logos for Universal were screaming on the screen.

I'm glad they finally are using these projectors, I'm very excited to see HD movies screened on these things.

When I went to the Sin City premiere they were projecting the image from a digital projector and it was flawless, I can't imagine what new movies will look like.

I have yet to see a 2k projection. Looking forward to it though.

Seen a couple of the DLP presentations, and I like it. Film takes a beating, gets scratched and stretched over time. In no time at all, it looks like crap. DLP should remain pristine for a lifetime.

Sounds good. No more yelling FOCUS at the projectionist.

Sounds awesome!

Im dieing to see the image quality of a digital projector. From all his rave with RED on the 4k projector...i wanna go crazy. haha

The first movie I saw at 2k was X-Men 3, and it was incredible. From the very first 'this preview is rated...' screen that was dead still and uber-crisp, it was sweet.
