lemon curry?

Sorry, but there is a lot more to choosing a camera then "which one is better". How do you plan to use it? what do you plan to shoot? what are you needs? what are your client's needs? Do you have clients?

You have to make the choice for yourself. We can only help answer your specific questions.

That's almost like asking "which is better: a pickup truck or a motorcycle"? Both are extremely suited to a certain type of task, and not so suited to other tasks (where the other one excels).

I'd say, like Mikko, that you'd have to tell us a lot more about your intended uses before we could advise.

Let's put it this way, as far as recording format, DVCPRO HD (HVX) is a much better format than MiniDV HD (most HD prosumer cam.,including JVC). If you do anykind of Color Correction/grading, or any VFX, you want to go the DVCPRO route. Unfortunatly the MiniDV HD format start breacking down very quickly in post.
As far as shooting features, both cameras have their pros and cons, and both are very respected.

That's what I say. Speed, power, freedom, ability to use the carpool lane, can park anywhere...

... but when it snows, or rains, or comes time to haul home your new lawnmower from Lowe's... well, the pickup starts lookin' a little more attractive for those jobs.

So the solution would have been the GMC Syclone, a 4WD pickup that did 0-60 in 4.6 seconds...

It's like asking which is better AC/DC or Spinal Tap.
The Beatles or the Ruttles
Mariha Kerry or Tool!
