Footage from P2 to External HDD

So I can see my footage in the P2 Viewer... Can someone walk me thru how to get the footage from my P2 card and onto my external HDD. It is FAT32 and I plan to take the footage from my PC to a MAC to use FCP. I simply can't figure out how to get the footage onto my external hard drive... do I need another program besides P2 Viewer?

okay, i am using p2cms and figured out how to export to my hdd.
i used a pc running XP for that... can i just take my WD Passport external hd and plug it into a mac and fcp will be able to read those files? it is FAT32- so i assume yes, but i am at home and all the edit bays on campus are mac based

Jrod,

What you are proposing to do is basically what I do. I copy the contents of the P2 card into a folder on my external HD using a PC laptop with a pc card slot, then plug the external into FCP and import from there. It actually doesn't matter whether your HD is FAT32 or NTFS - Mac will read both. Mac will not write to NTFS though, so if you have an NTFS drive plugged being read by FCP, you can't use it for a scratch disk or anything...
