Beautiful stuff, Pete! I love night dives, they increase the "otherworldly" effect even more!
You and your rig are producing excellent results- just the right amount of light filling perfectly! What's your iris/focus technique- manual on both? Monitor on the housing?
I also watched your pier dive- great school of minnows!
Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated.
Mostly I use manual settings but if I know I'm going to be shooting a scene that is going from light to dark or vice versa, then I will use auto iris.
when I am doing macro I will use auto focus to setup the focus, then lock it in manual to stop it hunting.
For wide angle, I use the swp44 dome port & with the focus set at 35 that pretty much gives me infinity focus.
Yes I have the monitor on top of the housing, I couldn't live without it now.
Cheers Pete.
Cool stuff Pete! I was just in Sydney, but I didn't bring my HVX. Would have loved to shoot underwater stuff. Can you recommend rental houses in Sydney?
There isn't any rental places in Sydney that I know of to hire a housing for a HVX.
probably scubapix in cairns would be your best bet.
let me know if you are in Sydney, I would be happy to show you around.
