Some shots looked really good. Are you cc'ing in post or straight from the cam?. Would curious as to what settings you are using.
thanks,

When i first saw the smetli video, i immediatly got this song, and i wanted to make a montage to it. probably the best song in the world.

nice video

Awesome... share your secrets on settings, etc.

The one complaint I had was too much overlaying of film burn mattes. It's an effect that is really cool when it is sparingly used, but it can kinda be distracting when it's used alot.

I agree with ffonsok about the film burns. It was cool when I first saw them, but now a lot of people use them, and I'm sick and tired of it. It's just a lazy excuse for an effect, and distracts from the overall quality of the piece. In fact, if a video uses a lot of film burns, I usually can't tell it apart from any other video that uses them. It's just not original anymore.

Okay, I'm done.

Yeah, what he said. Enough already with those.

But the footage looks good. Is this the DVX or the HVX? You're doing what looks like in-camera slo-mo...

DVX100a

All settings at 0 except detail(s) are both at -2 and Master ped is at -6 and I'm using a combination of cinelike and cinelike_v.

I used too many film burns, I know.

Slow-mos were either 30p slowed 80% or 60i converted to fill 24p.

Very good looking footage and nice color grading. I concur with the general consensus on the film burn effect. I like your style. Some of the compositions were very good.

I'm curious...I've heard this song a number of times, but am confused on the artist. I can think of two bands that it might be, but unsure. Any helpers?

You got some really nice shots there! Very cool the shot were he breathe on the glass. I just have one question, how and what do you use to conform your 60i footage into 24p slomo? I'm a PAL guy myself, but I'm sitting on some ntsc 60i footage which I would like to conform to slomo.

BTW, I didn't make the song ;)

I just brought my 60i footage into after effects, slowed it down 50% and checked the "preserve edges" box in the interpret footage thing. Rendered. imported into 24p timeline, slowed down 80%.
