Follow Focus Solutions?

I plan to use an Archos as a monitor in the field with my D90... now I have no idea where to start as far as a follow focus add on. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the recommendations.

I didn't realize they would be in the $1,000 dollar price range...

Also, as far as the rail system, Karsvall, you mentioned a short rail system, any more specific info here? Would I just pick up a short rail system from Red Rock, etc?

Redrock's rail system is a little long for a dSLR.

Zacuto has a mini baseplate in the works. How much are you willing to spend?

When I bought my M2-adapter I also ordered the follow focus. Then I got a "battery plate" for free. That plate was mounted on a shorter rail that I now use with my D90. I use it with my Fig Rig, if you use it hand held it´s not a perfectly smooth system. I mean your holding a plate :-) But I doubt that the Red Rock follow focus costs $1000 ??? I you should be able to get the shorter rail from them as well.

Here's a good D90 rig that's balanced with the works from Zacuto.

Have you considered going with something a little bigger?

Maybe a bit more substantial? :-Laugh(DBG):

Very Cool Looking!

Hope to see some some good clear pics, some footage, and your review of the performance.

Thanks so much for sharing such a cool set up!

I hold it as in the picture (not so comfortable) or have it mounted on my fig rig.

Do you have any way of pulling focus yourself with it on the fig rig, or do use a camera assistant for that? I think a fig rig would really help some of my D90 footage, but I need to be able to pull focus without camera crew.

Editman:

Didn't see many pictures except 2...maybe it's blocked cause i'm at work.
What kind of monitor is that and does it work good with the d90?

Somebody from Redrock Micro told me that they will be announcing something new for the D90 this week at the Photo Plus Expo.
