Follow Focus ring gears that work with lumix 20mm pancake lens?

I have a d|focus with my GH1 and the D|gear that I use does work, but barely. Does anyone know any other ff gear rings that work well with the pancake lens?

no i have both these rings and the 20mm no way theyll work. the lens sits too close to the cam. i m interested in others solutions for this too.

ugh, i just bought the indi snap gears. at least it'll work with my 50mm canon via adapter and the 14-140 kit lens

other than the pancake lens the snap gears rock you ll still love em

GH2 on a FieldRunner with D|Focus, and a small zip gear on 20mm lumix, you have to reverse the gearbox on the D\Focus

I think a follow focus on the 20 1.7 does not make much sense anyway.
When focusing on subject 1 and then on subject 2 and then back to subject 1 using follow focus marking white disk - you will see the subject 1 is not in focus .
This is a big problem with dedicated MFT lens. You should use the focus guide on GH2 lcd instead.
14-140 lens - the same story.
Nikon / Canon / Zeiss with manual focus / aperture ring will work well.

Make it friction focus. Even with zip gears you wont get full focus spectrum. Check out my post:

@abolit Try pulling focus when your doing a tracking shot on a dolly when your camera panning and tilting.. its a two man job and and really awkward if the guy pulling focus has his hands wrapped around your lens.
