Follow focus on non-manual lens

Is this a crazy idea? I know there aren't distance marks on some of the lenses, but is it possible to calibrate some impromptu ones?

Do the non-manual lenses "breathe" too much?

You'll drive yourself crazy.... The much maligned servo lens is a great lens for what it's supposed to do well, and manual operation for narrative filmmaking is NOT something it was designed to do. Get the 16X manual and spare yourself the need for Xanex....
