Follow Focus Gears...interchangeable?

Hey all,

so, i'm about to buy a follow focus, however i'm a little confused by the various gears...i want either the zacuto or cinevate setup, however i'm not very excited about either's gear setup; the zacuto is kind of permanent and i rent alot of glass, and the cinevate just looks like a pain to setup quickly. additionally I already have a few redrock gears,

all of those 3 FF's say they have .8 pitch gears, so will they all work with each others gears?

I would love to be able to permanently mount zacuto gears to the lenses I own and then use redrock gears with rental lenses, and actually use the durus FF. would that work?

I would recommend buying a FF that uses a .8 drive gear. .8pitch is kinda industry standard. There are some oddball ones out there, and you will have trouble purchasing lens gears. Zacuto gears are too expensive and not wide enough in my opinion. I know IndiSystems is coming out with magnetic snap gears that you can transfer really easy.
