C300: Follow focus for use with C300

I need some suggestion on a good follow focus which will be used with C300 and with 19mm rods.

I primarily use Canon L series lenses. Planning to use the Canon cinema primes as well. So I need a FF which can work with both still as well as cinema lenses. I am told I should either look at Arri or OConnor. I am ok to spend more now so that the stuff lasts. I can't keep on sending the stuff back to the manufacturer like ping-pong balls. :)

I have the Tilta and TrusMT. Both get the job done. They are good for stills lenses because they have more dampening than the cine versions. This helps get a smoother pull. Also hard stops are nice.
I cant recall the make/model of another FF that actually increases the rotation as well. Also a great feature. Anyone?

If you're not shooting with a matte box then the Cinevate Durus is an extremely tough durable product that will work the same 5 years after you purchase as the day you did. Painful if a matte box is essential to your shooting and we all know sometimes its a must.

I'm kinda wondering why the poster has 19mm rods when he is only using EF lenses....you'd get 19mm or 15mm studio rod setups when you are using the big cine zooms. Almost all FFs are set to go on 15mm LWS rods and you need an adapter to go to studio size. Arri's adapters are specific to the FF-4 or FF-5. Chrosziel's adapters work on any that have partial or complete holes on 15mm LWS.

Me too! A C300 with 15mm rods will work well with any follow focus. If you need you can always go to a 15mm to 19mm base adapter.

Edelkrone.com Follow Focus. Order the 15mm to 19mm bars adapter! cheap but very very good!

The FocusOne Pro does work well if you are mostly focusing for yourself as operator. It may not be the best solution if you mostly work with an AC/focus puller. It does not have stops but the gear does change to allow reverse movement for Nikon Lenses. I have only used it with Canon and Nikon still lenses and it works well.
