Follow focus DOF adapter for T2i ?

I am thinking of getting the T2i, wondering what the added cost would be to get a focus puller for it, where i would get something simple and basic for making a short film with the T2i and being able to get shallow DOF with a focus puller? I have the T1i, canon EOS lenses, nice Manfrotti fluid head and tripod, but I would like to get into DSLR and shallow DOF. Thank you for any assistance on this.

This is the one i use, i picked it up for $400 and like it very very much. Its a great combo if you get the loup with it you have a nice little run and gun kit. I have used it for pulling focus on lenses as low as a f1.8 and had great success.

It may not be the cheapest answer out there anymore but i love it

Its less the T2i but more the lens your using. If your using a cheap lens like the low end tamarons or the kit lens your follow focus wont work. You need to be sure that the focus ring of the lens does not move as you change your focal point. So this gear system looks like it would work if you have a lens with a static focus ring like the nicer canon lenses. The problem here is that you need some way to mount the camera to this rig. This rig like the indieFocus is designed to mount on a rail system.

with NO GEARS, 1 GEAR, 2 GEARS... 5 GEARS, all at added prices. Can someone explain to me how many 'gears' I would want to buy if I got something like the the DFocus V3 system? Confusing to me.

I think you need to order gears for each of your lenses, unless they are cine style and already have follow focus gears.
