Focussing with the T2i / 550d LCD

For anyone who might be in a position to compare, does the larger screen with more pixels of the T2i / 550d make it any easier to focus than the 7d when not using an external monitor?

I can focus about the same on both. I actually find it easier to focus either cam without using my Manhattan LCD. And that is pretty much why I'm selling it. Although I have never hooked up an external to the T2i. But that's just me.

Does it have a focus assist like on the HV20? It zooms in on just the LCD image and allows you to adjust focus manually.

Yex, it has 5x and 10x focus assist. It works very well, I use it with my manual lenses, but slows down everything, of course.
