Focus/zoom in monitor

[Christian Berg]

Since the Red camera will have a small monitor on the side wich does not have full 4k pixel resolution, will there be a software zoom to 100%? This would make is possible to se all the details. You just hit the zoom-button, and the kamera shows you the image pixel for pixel. Just like many of the digital still cameras.

RED hasn't yet announced the exact display technology of the on-camera viewfinder, or it's functions. They have announced that the on-camera viewfinder will be detachable and re-attachable to the cage or somewhere else on the camera. They've also announced that there will be outputs to enable the use of external monitoring. They have also announced that there will be a new focus assist function, but details of its features have not been released.
