Focus issues when going back to 1/3 chip cams

ok so i've gotten so used to my 7d and zfinder combo that i now find it sumwhat difficult to judge proper focus when i go back to my dvx cuz everything looks in focus lol. but now its like i'm really straining to see if things are really in focus or not with the dvx. with the 7d its pretty clear. Anyone found this to be true? it was just kinda funny to me :)

I've been shooting with my 7D for months, but I DP'd last weekend for a guy who wanted to use his XL2. I could not pull focus without the external monitor attached. We were using a lot of available light, so the aperture was almost wide open half the time, so I left the lens on autofocus when setting the shot, made sure focus was locked on the right subject, and then changed it to manual. That was the only way I could manage.

I feel your pain.

lol...i mean i always used the peaking feature (cant remember whats its really called) on the dvx but now more than ever.
