"Flush It Out" a short film on the 5D

This is a short film I produced for my film class at UCSC. I really would like feedback on my work!

Nice. I like the slow pacing...could have done without the cheesy jarring music queue though.

Took the liberty to embed it here.

thanks Ben! I still don't understand these fancy embedding tricks. Glad I have a "senior" member guiding me

I used a Lowell tota 750 wt pointed at the ceiling and a Lowell softbox on the ground pointed at the two ladies on the couch. That gave illumination on their face and brightened the whole room, but still kept a natural tone, not getting too creative with lighting

had some ok shots, but used your master shot of the two girls sitting there way to much.

Basically you could easily cut this in half or more, its WAY to long for what you have here.

I got bored in the first 30 seconds with nothing going on, remember this isnt hte beginning of a feature, needs to move faster.

Create a new shorter edit and see how it goes. Remember every shot should some how add to the story, if its not doing that, cut it out. YOu have to remove yourself from being director when you sit down as editor. I know you may love some shots, but editors job is to tell the story.
