I am a new owner of XHA1s, my first HDV camcorder upgrade from XL1s. It's a bit heavy for a handheld so I'm looking for a shoulder mount or monopod to help steady my shots. I want to avoid wearing a bulky robot vest in this Las Vegas heat. Shoulder mounts seem a bit constricting and off balance to me.
Varizoom's Flowpod and the SteddiePod are the most prevalent monopods in online searches but I have never used one. Anyone here have any first-hand knowledge, pros, cons?
