I've been through the menus, and I'm out of a small screwdriver...what is a starving film student to do?! I can't afford a Brevis flip module and I'm to scared to open up my baby up. Any suggestions? Anyone here want to sign a petition for a Canon software update to add "that" much needed option?
Flipping the Canon XH-A1's LCD

Unfortunately, Canon decided not to add a flip function to the A1. I'm not sure if the upgraded model the A1s has it, but I don't think it does. There really is no way to flip the image in the LCD screen as far as I know. The best option is to get an external monitor and flip it.
I don't know if you already have one, but here is a cheaper LCD screen that I've heard is pretty good:

As for similar cameras in the A1 price range, the newer Panasonic HMC150 has image flip.
