"Flip" on DVD - Official Thread <DVD AVAILABLE>

karl i just watched the movie and i really enjoyed it. Brandon said the shots were soft and out of focus, i couldnt tell because I have a 50" plasma so all dvx/hvx movies, including my own, don't blow up so well on it. More important than technical aspects,
i really thought the story was fun and i did care what was going to happen next. So much so that i was hoping for a more concrete ending because by him standing her up, he just comes off as a jerk (which is fine if he was intended to be a jerk). But i did think it was a strong and daring choice to just leave the camera on her for so long at the end, it made me feel for her.

i havent watched all the extras but i did watch 2 hours of you and your crew making the movie and it looks like you guys had fun and really put in hard work so props for that.

one minor snaffu was that she says "come to my room, i raided the mini-bar", and when he shows up shes got a bottle of Jack! Screw the min bar - we got a full bottle!

All in all good work, and the DVD looks great.

My wife felt this way about Aldo too, but I think that Jennifer pretty much got what she had coming, the little conniver that she is. She got Aldo rip-roaring drunk, and then conned him into marrying her. I think after their reconciliation, Aldo went back to his room to get dressed and started thinking about how badly he had been suckered, so he split. I liked the ending, but see Jennifer as the villain of the film. Perhaps the filmmaker would care to comment on his interpretation?

By the way, here in Las Vegas the marriage bureau decided to put the marriage records online (at considerable expense) because every day they were inundated with calls asking "Did I get married last night?" or "Who the hell did I get married to last night?" Now when one of these poor, hung-over souls calls, they refer him to the website. Ha!
