Hi all,
I use HVX200 camera with AJ-PCD20 reader to transfer files into FCP 7 using log and transfer function and till now no problem, but when I move the clips to the time line for editing, i got a flicker in the video ( shift field problem) and FCP 7 add shift field filter to solve this problem, but i don't want to use this filter, So could anyone help me in this and tell me what to do??

Note: I recored with DVCPRO format.

Regards,

I mean when I put the recorded file on the timeline and choose to adjust same settings for the sequence also, I found noisy video not the quality which i recorded.
Note: I recorded with 576/50i DVCPRO50 quality and 720/50P Quality, but it appears in low resolution on timeline. Is there any plugins or something i should install to final cut 7.0.3 ?? I installed all the drivers from panasonic website, but nothing changes. I adjusted all the settings may be needed in FCP or may be there's something missing, I don't know.

Thanks

No plugins are required. Always make sure the timeline sequence settings match the settings you have on your camera at the time of filming. If your settings match- the video on your timeline will look as you expect- that is if you shot it properly.

How are you viewing your video once it's in Final Cut? What is your monitoring setup?

If your video is noisy as you stated in your last post- than that is likely due to your scene file settings and perhaps low light filming conditions. Adjust your scene file settings in the camera and experiment with different lighting situations until the noise is reduced or eliminated. The HVX200 is a bit of a noisy camera- but with the proper scene file settings you can combat this without much problem.

i might assume that since you only have 2 postings you MAY be new to the hvx200 and possibly new also to using you camera as a "film cam"
taking that into consideration - the hvx200 is an inherently noisy camera. and the "flicker" you see maybe the "24p cadence" its sort of a stutter that is visible on moving objects or when the camera is moving too fast.

both of these are "features" of the situation. and both can be minimized with practice.
