"Flawless Buck" trailer

Sorry dude, that wasn't my cup of tea. For a comedy, it didn't seem too funny and for an action film, not much action. For me it looked like you sure shot a lot of actors posing while you panned around them.

Where do I start:

Its tooooo long for a trailer.
It have some good effects and some very bad ones. The girl is shot on a green screen, I know this because her blond hair has heaps of green spill on it.
Its a comedy? If so show some of the jokes and one liners that make sense.

Cheers

Duly noted. I'll pass this along to the gang:
Not funny.
No action
Too many shots of actors posing.
It's good to hear a different type of feedback. Is it possible that this type of humor just doesn't translate well in the southern hemisphere? Funny is all I've got. Without funny...

Thanks,

Buck

You speak the truth dude. Some of the shots look great (guy in hallway, guy in some chamber at the start) then you have these awful looking shots with the girl kicking some guy, the tone goes from filmic to video and back again, the tone doesnt have to be consistent, but when you start promising you gotta stay the course.

A bit of color correction to establish the tone of these scenes would help big time. If only this stuff would make it more entertaining, sadly it wont.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm being negative, but its just my opinion after viewing the trailer several times. It just doesnt appeal to me.

Perhaps.

The English love slap stick Americans love one liners.

As an Australia we love it all but your trailer. Well I don't get the humor. Maybe its the cut or maybe its because only part of the joke comes through.

Sorry bud. I would find some good stuff from your shot and use that in the trailer.

You've put some effort into the costumes and even the effects but some of them look like plug ins. Thats is unless thats the look your going for.

Anyhow best of luck

No problem. I post for this kind of feedback from the type of people who are looking for things like green spill. Unsalvagable though huh? That's rough to hear.

I'm not talking about the whole film dude, how could I? I haven't seen it. Its merely my opinion of your trailer.

Its just a matter of fine tuning, like Freudenberg said; Cut the trailer down some, even try some a few different ones, kinda like TV spots.

Bump up the humor on one, bump up the action on another. Don't get disheartened by the comments on the trailer, re-cut come back and shove the new one in my face and sit me on my ass.

If you believe in your project, show me how cool it can really be.

No problem. I actually quite enjoy and expect this type of thread here. I just expected it to happen sooner. I get about 20-50 opinions a day. Then I try to find overlapping points. I wouldn't want to live in a world without the internet.

I think the special effects are great. The explosions for sure. I agree it might be a little long for a trailer but it kept my interest anyways. And as for the comical approach to it I could understand what the feel of the film would be and as far as my opinion goes I found some things amusing. Good work.
