Flashing Red Arrow Pointing to Right When Recording

[David Saraceno]

What is that next the SDHC capacity minutes when recording.

It's small red icon with an arrow pointing to the right in the upper left side of the LCD when recording?

Can't find it in the manual.

Could be the SD card icon showing that data is being recorded to it...

[David Saraceno]

That's what I thought, but nothing in the manual.

Like all Japanese translated to English manuals this one too is fairly scant in terms of detail.

These should be called reference/specification guides not user manuals. It's funny though how they go to lengths to describe how to adjust focus & zoom rings, insert the battery or tie the shoulder strap yet gloss over details about operation and setting adjustments...

Where are the user manuals of the old days where they actually gave you examples of best/worst case scenarios and tips for using the different settings. My audio friends here might remember the last of the greatest user manuals were put together by Mackie and were not only full of handy information written in easy to understand English but also very humorous.
