The following is footage I shot in April 2010 while studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. I've always been interested in the idea of creating vidblogs (and did so loosely back in high school and early college) but this one is a little more inspired by the originals created by Jake Lodwick and Justin Johnson and the like.
Currently, I'm traveling to a number of cities during my time in Europe. My goal right now is to create a vidblog for each city that I visit--Rome this weekend and possibly Marrakesh the next. We'll see how the project holds up.
I'm pleased with this as the first video--still getting used to this editing style (avoiding my traditional tendencies) and having my camera with me more often. All of this footage was probably collected over the course of a few days (over a period of a week and a half). In way, the crux is that I'm working for efficiency (per city video) in a very archival format. It's hard to accumulate enough in so little time.
If the project goes well, I'll continue making these kinds of videos (with longer periods for collecting footage) when I'm back in the U.S.A.
