this is my first go at colour correction.

im using adobe premier pro 1.5. This is a little scene my GF shot in class, its about 15seconds long, but they didnt use any lighting, and there camera was really crap so i tried colour correcting in premier to see what i could get, and this is what i got. Please, all kinds of comments and feedback would be great. As long as it constructiev! :)

sorry, brothers server wont let me directly link.

the images have been CC'ed and re framed.

i like the CC. it adds a flavor to the composition. i think your best shot composition-wise is the 3rd one down, but the others look good too.

Very nice CC you have there :)

The first grab may be a bit too warmish/reddish, but all the others look great!

I like the 2nd and 3rd. Really don't like the first. Haven't made up my mind about the last one. I agree that they are all improved, so good job.

what were the exact settings you used for the cc? everybody does their cc different and can achieve the same results, so I was wondering how you did what you did. Which was sick by the way, kudos

oh man ill have to post screenshots of what i did, cause i did CC in the shadow, mids and highlights, then a master. lol i just kept playing with the dials untill i got colours i liked., the npalyed with saturation, contrats and brightness last.

second shot is my favorite by far... looks very filmic.

The first one is a bit too mini DV... any footage?

really good stuff here. the first may be just a tad too warm on the cc, but it still looks better than the original. and I like all of the rest equally. you have a good eye for cc.

man loving the replies, i cant WAIt to pick up my dvx100b and shoot my first little test short to try out all its neat little goodies!

not doing this to bump the thread, but actually a question.

To make better, to enhance my CC technique ( as it is a subjective thing ) are there other or better ways to do CC? Right now im just using colour corrector in APP 1.5. I know about magicbullet, dont have it but i imagine ill have it when i purchase my dvx100b. Tips from the pro's? for future reference?

What else, is required to make the BEST out of footage i take? Experts hehe, teach a noob how to fish, please. :)

The contrast is better than the raw but they are a little red in my opinion.

It's a taste thing, and if it lends itself to the story then I understand. But I feel that the image feels a little too processed.

Again, this is just my opinion, but I prefer to have a striking image without being able to feel the mechanics. I could see the CC too much in these shots.
